The issue of upgradation of GP of IPs

It is learnt from CHQ sources that the proposal for upgradation of GP of IPs, ASPs and PS Gr.B Officers which was resubmitted to Finance Ministry has been returned again without getting a favorable decision. The details of the remarks for rejecting the proposal are not known.
The matter will come up for discussion / deliberation in the Association forum in the AIC to be held in New Delhi on 3rd & 4th April 2010 to decide the course of action to be followed in connection with the proposal.

Again proposal for upgradation of GP of ASPs and PS Group-B Officers!
It appears, the CHQ/GS is non sensitive to the views of majority.

why is the GS not asking the dept to move ahead with merger of IP/ASP cadre? Many circles like Orissa, Kerala, Andra has already approved the merger proposal( the blogs of respective circles contains the details) and asked the GS to move ahead before the ALL India Conference. Why is the association wasting time?

dear sir,

we should not ask for merger of IP and ASP, instead the association has to support the court case that is being filed by some direct recruits in CAT, Kerala

The person who is not in favour of merger of IP & ASP cadre should mention the reasons in support of his/her view and should disclose his/her identity. When the Dept. is inclined to give ASP nomenclature to the merged cadre as mentioned by the GS what is problem then? The person objecting to the proposal must come up with sound argument or else it will be taken to mean that he does not believe in unity among IPs and ASPs apparently to satisfy his/her false ego of believing himself so senior that he does not want IPs to get the designation as ASP.

We should immediately mmet the DG and ask for merger of IP and ASP cadre. The dept will agree as the proposal came from the dept itself. We should not waste time waiting for the All India Conference. Enough delay has already occured and injustice to the Ips should be immediately rectified.

supporting the court case is time consuming and not at all necessary. All should support for the merger so that more benefits can be reeped from the department.

Dear (Anonymous) Visitors of this Blog,

I am very much thankful to all those who have complimented me (through their comments in the Blog) as a possible choice for the job of next GS . I sincerely appreciate their comments with humility. But friends, the GS should be someone, who besides being sensitive to the aspirations of 4000 odd IPs and ASPs of the country should give justice to the responsibility by remaining in constant touch with Directorate. Getting emotional with dreams and ideas is one thing and getting the same implemented keeping close liaison with Senior Officers in the Directorate is another. I think a person, if selected from a Station /Circle other than close to the National capital will find it difficult to discharge his/her responsibility effectively. The resource of the association is very limited which should not be spent prodigally for traveling expenses from a far-off location. In my humble opinion, let us, therefore, find out a leader from Delhi Circle or Directorate or from the Circles close to New Delhi to take up the responsibility of the next GS. An effective leader is someone who holds the promise of delivering goods and not just shows oratory or literary skills to impress his/her followers. Let us find out such a person who is willing and capable of shouldering the responsibility of the job of next GS.

As regards, the question of going fast with the proposal of merger of IP and ASP cadres, the GS says that he is waiting for the reply of the Dte in writing in the aftermath of the rejection of the proposal of upgradation of GP of IPs/ASPs/PS Gr.B Officers by MOF to take further necessary action in the matter. Many Circles have already requested the GS to go ahead with the proposal of merger. It is upto the GS to take the move. It appears, he wants a deliberation of the issue in the AIC before formally expressing willingness for merger from the Association's side. Let us see what he does.

Sincerely,

B B Mohanty

Dear Mohanty,
Your views are absolutely right on the choice of GS. But Person like you should also take some responsibilty of Association.Narrow minded and selfish peoples should be removed from Association immediately.Further those who support the issue of GP 4600 for IPOs should only be made GS /President of association.

Thanks
