Suspension of agitaional programme on the issue of upgradation of GP of IPs

As per the resolution passed in the CWC meeting of AIAIASP Orissa Circle Branch it was decided to resort to agitational programme by every member of the AIAIASP in Orissa Circle Branch by wearing black-badge in the first week of every month starting from February 2011. Accordingly, members of AIAIASP Orissa Circle Branch sportively wore black badge in the first week of February 2011. This position was intimated to the GS who during his telephonic discussion with the CS Orissa gave a go-ahead signal and mentioned at the same time that CHQ would be soon issuing instruction to Circles to follow some agitational programme on the issue. The programme launched by AIAIASP Orissa Circle was published in the blog with some photographs for information of members in other Circles. It was expected that other Circle would come forward to resort to some kind of  agitational programme on the All-India issue.

Orissa Circle Branch of AIAIASP is still awaiting with anxiousness to see that other Circles observe some kind of agitational programme. In the meantime, the GS has circulated a draft letter mentioning therein about wearing black badge only for one day in March. AIAIASP Orissa Circle Branch has now found that the scale of agitational programme decided to be followed in Orissa Circle does not match with that of the CHQ as proposed by the GS. Action on the point by other Circles is not yet decided. Since the GP upgradation is an all-India issue, agitational programme needs to be uniform through-out the country. The decision and direction of CHQ is crucial in this respect. The required direction is awaited from CHQ. In the meantime, the OA on the GP upgradation issue is coming up for final hearing on 03.03.2011 in Hon'ble CAT Ernakulam Bench. In such situation it is thought appropriate to suspend the agitational programme in Orissa Circle pending further decision and awaiting suitable direction from CHQ and also looking forward to the outcome of OA No. 381/2010.
All members of AIAIASP, Orissa Circle Branch are requested to note this point and act accordingly.
