Agenda for the four-monthly meeting with Chief PMG

1.   Replacement of obsolete and outdated Laptops of Sub-Divisional Heads 

Brief:- As per Department of Post (Technology Division) letter No.40-8/2013-Tech dated 28-03-2015, the life period for Computer and Peripheral is fixed to 5 years. In the year-2010 Directorate had supplied Laptops through DGS & D order for all 94 Sub-Divisional Heads in Odisha Circle. The matter was taken up in the Four Monthly Meeting. Though the Head of the Circle has agreed in reply to Agenda No. 1-5/2015 in principle for replacement of obsolete and outdated Laptops wherever required, but it is not being materialized due to lack of clarity between the Divisions and Circle/Regions. The old and obsolete Laptops are to be condemned at Regional level.

This Association urges the Circle Administration for immediate condemnation of Laptops supplied to the Sub-Divisional Heads during the year-2010, to have a proper plan for replacement on priority and for issuance of a clear instruction from Circle/Regional Office(s) to the Divisions on this issue.

2.   Adherence of Time-schedule for preparation / completion and disclosure of APARs of IPs/ASPs. 

Brief:- It has become a practice to enquire about the APARs only at the time of DPC for promotion or convening of screening committee for MACP cases. This is definitely a matter of concern. Though the crucial date for disclosure of APARs to the officer reported upon is 1st September, the APARs for the year 2016-17 are yet to be disclosed in most cases.

This Association urges the Circle/Regional Administration for putting a system in place for monitoring on this issue.

3.   Circle Gradation List of Inspector Posts and Assistant Superintendents of Posts

Brief:- Circle Gradation Lists of Inspector Posts and Assistant Superintendents of Posts in Odisha Circle were last issued during the year-2012 corrected as on 1st July, 2012.

This Association urges for preparation and circulation of draft Circle Gradation list of Inspector Posts and Assistant Superintendents of Posts so that it could be issued corrected as on 1st July, 2018 on time.
