Ad hoc promotion to ASP Grade

Posting on ad hoc promotion to ASP Grade in Orissa is expected in coming week. The matter got delayed as a number of IPs expressed unwillingness for the ad hoc promotion for which willingness was called for from more number of IPs.

Sri J Deep declined the ad hoc promotion to PS Gr.B cadre. Sri P K Sahoo, ASP (Inv) is likely to be offered the ad hoc promotion in place of Sri Deep. Now there is one vacancy in Berhampur Region.

Dear Sri. Mohanty sir,

Please see the NFPE blog wherein it is informed that the department has restored 20% supervisory posts and 6% clerical posts once abolished at the time of introduction of TBOP/BCR in 1983. As the department is going for full scale computerisation that much number of supervisory and clerical posts may not be required at post offices. Hence it is the apt time for we to ask the department to divert one post each from the so called restored supervisory posts and clerical posts to create an assistant inspector in (LSG cadre) and one PA post in T/S cadre in each Sub divisional Office. In this connection please go through the Nataraja Murthi commission report in which the commission recommended creation of Assistant Inspector post in Sub Divisional Offices. Moreover it is our age long demand to provide a clerk in sub divisonal office. The newly created Asst. Inspector can be assigned with the annual inspection duty of BOs and similar works connected with enquiries and investigation connected with BOs.
We have to liase with clerical unions for the success of this move. I think that they will not oppose this move because we are not taking away their posts instead they are benifitted with five day work a week and operative staff only working in the said posts diverted to sub divisional office. I would like to know your opinion in this case through your blog please. I am telling to you this because I find that you are a dynamic leader among the leaders of our association. I acknowledge your efforts to join hand with clerical associations to participate in the strike to implement our genuine demands. Unfortunately our CHQ 's inactive approch spoiled our expectations.
