"The file related to revision of grade pay has been sent to Ministry of Finance with recommendation of the Department of Posts for upward revision of grade pay of IPs as Rs.4600/-, ASP as Rs.4800/-and PS Gr.B as Rs.5400/-. Secretary Posts has personally assured us to get the file cleared shortly. We are very much hopeful of positive result in coming days."

Dear friends. IPs/ASPs will not be allowed for higher grade pay by the IP/ASP Association. Reasons are :-
(a) Government wants only two GPs in IP/ASP/SP cadre i.e Rs 4600 and Rs 4800.
(b) If IPs and ASPs are merged, the IPs will be immediately benefited and ASPs will get 5400 in the third pay upgradation (MACPS)
(c) If the ASPs and SPs are merged, both IPs and ASPs will be benefited immediately.
(d) In all the above cases, the PSS Group 'B' Officers will not get GP Rs 5400 immediately.
Hence, the Association leaders protested the merger suggested by the Department.
Remember that the IP/ASP Association leaders are not fighting for IPs/ASPs. They are fighting for Group 'B' officers only as they have been promoted to PSS Group 'B'
