Communication minister Manoj Sinha Tuesday launched a Twitter hashtag, #TwitterSeva where people can register their complaints regarding postal and communication services in the country, and said resolving the call drops issue was a top priority.
Launching the hashtag, Sinha? ??told reporters that the idea was to address consumer complaints at the earliest. Sinha was appointed as the new telecom minister following a cabinet reshuffle last month.
Under this new initiative, all complaints lodged on the Twitter hashtag will be classified as immediate, mid?-?term and long?-?term.
Sinha who met with the telecom industry honchos last week said resolving the issue of call drops was a chief priority and that the department was working together with telecom operators to improve the situation of telecom networks across the country.
