CWC Meeting was held in grant success at Shirdi (Maharashtra) on 12/10/2012 and 13/10/2012. Seventeen postal circles attended CWC and took active part in the deliberations. Minutes of the CWC will be placed on the CHQ blog shortly. Meanwhile highlight of the CWC Meeting is that:
Association is against the merger of IP/ASP cadre and support to Mr. Permanand financially to file another OA in Hon’ble CAT Ernakulam bench jointly.
Views of Odisha Circle:-
Though Odisha Circle Branch has a view of accepting merger with / without retention
of Gazetted status to the existing ASPs which was not accepted by majority
opinion again, Odisha Circle believes in
greater flexibility to get the Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- for Inspector of Posts at
any cost.
Odisha Circle has raised the issue of inter-
Circle anomaly in promotion of IPs to the post of ASPs in the CWC. In Circles like Delhi,
Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and West Bengal, Inspector of Posts are getting
their promotion to ASP cadre in 5 to 7 years of service in IP cadre. On the
other hand, in Circles like Assam, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, HP, MP, NE, Odisha and
Uttarakhand, Inspector of Posts are getting their promotion to ASP cadre in 10
to 14 years of service in IP cadre.
Odisha Circle Branch emphasized on the need of
uniformity throughout the country in getting promotion of IPs to ASPs and requested CHQ to take up the matter to uphold
the justice and equality so that the resentment growing in the minds of members
in the Circle due to above disparity in getting promotion to ASP cadre can be
subsided. Though the matter was discussed, but no concrete decission was taken. Odisha Circle will continue to raise this issue in future CWCs and AIC also.
Shri Bibhudatta Behera, Treasurer, AIAIASP, Odisha Circle Branch attended the CWC as the representative. Shri Pitabasa Jena, Circle Secretary, AIAIASP, Odisha Circle Branch could not attend the CWC. As per the pre-programme Shri Jena is availing LTC to Shrinagar from 14/10/2012 to 25/10/2012.

REGARDING PUBLISHING OF GDS STRIKE ON CENTRAL BLOG
1. Our Association should not post such strike related issue of other association because we have no right as our association has selected the leaders which are cowards and fear for such drastic action rather we have become the " PITHU " of administration .GDS Association has given strike call for the benefits of their members but we even after rejection of grade pay of IP to 4600/ are still undecided and even fearing to file a contempt in CAT ernakulam. Now We have started waiting for official rejection letter form DOP. I want to question the GS that why DOP will communication the rejection of grade pay. if they do so, they have face the ire of CAT. I think that official rejection will not likely. I personlly congratulate the GDS association who have guts to come forward openly and declaring strike without the help of other association whateever the result may be . These are great fighters not like us. Bravo GDS union
But who are you,dear? Should you advocate for a big fight keeping youself anonymous? This is the real plight, not 'PITHU' or some thing like that.
