Delay in ad hoc promotion to ASP Grade and posting of IPs in HQ Region

A number of IPs in the line of getting officiating in ASP Grade are unwilling to take up officiating job in ASP grade as the ad hoc promotion yeilds no financial benefit paricularly to those who have already got MACP-II. Moreover, ad hoc promotion entails posting to places not covered under choice due 'uncondtional' clause attached to ad hoc posting. This is another reason why IPs are unwilling for ad hoc promotion. In HQ Region posting of newly passed IPs has been delayed abnormally and the delay is attributed to non-finalisation of names for ad hoc posting of ASPs. The file is moving back and forth. The case is marred  by confusion.

As per Postal Directorate letter No. 9-3/2010-SPG Dated 24-11-2010 the following PS Gr.B officers have been reallotted to Odisha Circle.

3. Sri Muralidhar Singh, now working in WB Circle

4. Sri Banchhanidhi Mishra, now working in WB Circle

5. Sri Sreekant Kar, previously allotted to WB Circle on regular promotion to PS Gr. B cadre but at present working in Odisha Circle

6. Sri Jeeraman Deep, previously allotted to WB Circle on regular promotion to PS Gr. B cadre but at present working in Odisha Circle in ASP cadre

Chennai High Court allows writ petition granting GP 5400 after 4 years of service with GP 4800 under ACP to Inspector Central Excise

Hon'ble Chennai High Court in WP No.13225/2010 filed by Sri M Subramaniam, Inspector , Central Excise  has passed orders with direction to Govt. to allow GP of Rs.5400/- to the petitioner on completion of 4 years of service with the GP of Rs.4800/- under MACP scheme. Let us see what the Govt. is doing. If implemented,  IP line officials of Department of Posts who have got financial upgradation to GP of Rs. 4800/- under MACP are also likely to get the benefit through a common order to be issued by Revenue Department of Ministry of Finance.

OA No. 381/2010 - Present status

OA No.381/10 on GP issue in Hon'ble CAT Ernakulam Bench  due for hearing on 22.11.2010 could not be heard in absence of Division Bench. The next date of posting will be known within a day or two. Moreover, the Respondents have not yet filed reply to the Additional Rejoinder. There is possibility that Respondents may seek one or two weeks time to file their reply.
