          I am directed to intimate that as per the provisions contained  in para-5.2 of DOPT  No.- 12/3/2011-JCA-2 dated 27.06.2011, the   Competent  Authority has decided that 06.02.2012 will be a closed holiday on the occassion of  Id-E-Milad. This may be brought  to the notice of all concerned. This is in continuation of letter of even number dated 28.10.2011

Region allotment of direct recruit IP

Shri Praveen Kumar, a direct recruit IP has been allotted to Berhampur Region for posting. AIAIASP, Odisha Circle Branch welcomes him to Odisha Circle as a member of AIAIASP.

Transfer and Posting in HAG Grade

Directorate has issued the following orders of transfer and posting in the Posts of Chief PMsG vide No.1-1/2009-SPG 2/2/2012 dated 2/2/2012.

1. Shri A.K. Sharma (IPoS 1981), PMG, Allahbad is posted as CPMG, Odisha Circle.

2.Shri P.T.S. Kumar (IPoS 1981), PMG, Shillong is posted as CPMG, NE Circle.

3.Shri Faiz Ur Rehman (IPoS 1979), CPMG, Maharastra Circle is transferred and posted as CPMG, Gujarat Circle.

4.Ms Humera Ahmed (IPoS 1979), CPMG, Gujarat Circle is transferred and posted as CPMG, Maharastra Circle

New Chief PMG, Odisha Circle assumes charge

PLI / RPLI Maximum sum assured limit enhanced.

PLI Directorate Memo No. 25-3/2003-LI dated 17/1/2012.

  The President is pleased to make the following amendments to “Post Office Life Insurance Rules 2011” published on 28^th April, 2011 in Gazette of India No.85(Part-I Section –I Extraordinary)

a)    The amount of maximum or aggregate sum assured mentioned as Rs.Ten Lac (Rs.10.00.000/-) in Rules No.7, 14 and 17(e) may now be read as Rs. Twenty Lac (Rs.20,00,000/-) in respect of PLI.

b)    The amount of maximum or aggregate sum assured mentioned as Rs.Three Lac (Rs.3.00.000/-) in Rules No.9(a), 10(a), 15 and 17(e) may now be read as Rs. Five Lac (Rs.5,00,000/-) in respect of RPLI.

The amendments shall be effective from the date of  issue of this Notification.

Posting of new Chief PMG awaited

Ms. Devika Kumar, Chief PMG, Odisha Circle took voluntary retirement w.e.f 31.01.2012. Posting of a new Chief PMG for Odisha Circle is awaited from Directorate.

Ms Devika Kumar Chief PMG, Odisha Circle retires

Ms. Devika Kumar took voluntary retirement from the post of Chief PMG, Odisha Circle on 31.01.2012. She was relieved on 31.01.2012 F/N. A grand farewell was arranged on 31.01.2012 in Circle Office, Bhubaneswar where staff of Circle Office, PMsG, Directors and some Union leaders joined the function.  

During her short-term in office as Chief PMG, Odisha Circle she won hearts of each and all. AIAIASP, Odisha Circle bids her a respectful farewell and wishes her a nice retirement life.

Retirement of Shri R N Pradhan

Shri R N Pradhan, Manager, PPP, Bhubaneswar retired on 31.01.2012 on superannuation. AIAIASP, Odisha Circle Branch remembers his contribution to the Association and his active role during All India Conference held in Bhubaneswar in 2002 and wishes him peace of mind and good health in his post retirement life.
