Sanjib Sahoo smashed 145 runs and Krushna Mohanty claimed seven wickets as Odisha walloped Chhattisgarh by 227 runs in a league match of the 28th all-India Postal cricket tournament here on Wednesday.
However, the big win did not help Odisha as Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and host Andhra Pradesh qualified for the knockout semifinals to be played on Thursday.
The scores: Gujarat 163 for five in 20 overs lost to West Bengal 164 for five in 19.3 overs (Sohan Ghosh 65 n.o.). Jammu and Kashmir 67 in 19.4 overs (K. Chandrakanth three for 14) lost to Andhra Pradesh 69 for one in 7.2 overs (S. Kranti 42). Odisha 269 for one in 20 overs (Sanjib Sahoo 145) bt Chhattisgarh 42 in 11.4 overs (Krushna Ch. Mohanty seven for 15).
Delhi 82 in 19.4 overs lost to Uttar Pradesh 85 for five in 19.4 overs (Prasoon Dosar 32 n.o.). Maharashtra 105 for eight in 20 overs (Ajit four for 15) lost to Kerala 106 for two in 16.2 overs (Sarat 59). Assam 126 for eight in 20 overs lost to Tamil Nadu 129 for six in 19.2 overs (Saravanan 47).
