Orders for financial upgradation under MACPS for IPs and ASPs in Orissa are delayed. This is in spite of the fact that the CS has been constantly following the matter with APMG (Vig/Staff). CS was told that the delay is attributed to issues relating to ACRs. Now CS has taken up the matter with Chief PMG in writing. The copy of the letter addressed to Chief PMG is reproduced below for information of all concerned.

No.AIAIASP/Corr-7/1-2010
Dated 08.07.2010
To
Mrs. Hilda Abraham
Chief Postmaster General
Orissa Circle
Bhubaneswar 751001
Sub: Regarding
financial upgradation under MACPS for IPs and ASPs
Respected Madam,
The IPs and ASPs
in Orissa have been awaiting orders for financial upgradation under MACPS since
long. While all other cadres in the Circle have already got the benefit the
wait of the IPs and ASPs is lingering on. This is adding to the woes of IP
cadre officials who are already continuing with a feeling of frustration having
been denied the much anticipated upgraded GP on par with their counterparts in
other Departments and Ministries of Govt. of India. This is for your kind
information that the IPs are now equated with the status of Overseers cadre (not
to speak of any higher cadre) in terms Grade Pay after implementation of MACPS.
Further delay in issue of orders under MACPS for IPs / ASPs cadre is likely to
have adverse impact on their morale which will reflect on their efficiency and
output.
May I, therefore,
request your goodself to look into the issue for issue of necessary orders
early?
With regards,
Yours
faithfully,
