No.AIAIPASP/Corr-1/5/2012
11/07/2012
To
Shri S.P. Rajalingam
Postmaster
General
Berhampur Region
Berhampur-760001
Sub:- Proportionate Payment of House Rent of
Digapahandi Sub-Divisional Office.
Respected Sir,
A kind reference is invited to the
reply of Item No.02-03/2012 of minutes of bi-monthly meeting dated 14/06/2012
communicated vide RO Berhampur No. UN/203-4/94(ASSN) dated 18/06/2012.
As per R.O. letter No.Bldg/144-11/90
dated 15/04/2012 the department is paying Rs.400/- and the rest amount i.e.
Rs.600/- is born by the IP. But, factually only Rs.200/- is being
paid by the Department and rest amount i.e. Rs.800/- is being paid by the IP.
To
the best of the knowledge of the Association there is no such rule for sharing the
rent. In the instant case, the
Divisional Unit is supposed to provide the accommodation for functioning of
Digapahandi Sub-Divisional Office and, therefore, the entire rent should have
been borne by the Department.
In
the prevailing situation, it is suggested to shift Digapahandi Sub-Divisional
Office and Digapahandi Post Office / Digapahandi Tehasil Colony NDSO to one
rented building having sufficient accommodation which will solve the
issue.
I,
on behalf of this Association, request you to look into the matter and consider
the same favourably.
With
deep regards,
Yours sincerely,
(Pitabasa Jena)
Circle Secretary

Sir,
Similar case was dealt in Tamilanadu circle(Chennai Region) in which, the excess rent (about Rs.1000/-)of Sriperumbudur Sub Division office(functioned in a rented room) was reimbursed to the IP
recently. ASP from TN
