In a new way to smuggle drugs, traffickers are using postal and courier services. There was a sharp rise in the contraband seized in 2015. Since 2013, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested over 50 people for smuggling drugs using these services. Newspaper reports suggest that drugs are often concealed in parcels of books, files, shoes, photo frames, etc.
