TO
Mr. Pitabas Jena,
CS, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar

Dear Sir,

I am an IP of headquarter region, but I do not want publish my name for the obvious reason. Now the target for opening of SB accounts (200 a/cs per BO) has been assigned by the respected CPMG(O). Besides, the target of RPLI, PLI and many more, this is an additional task given to the sub divisional IP. It is also heard that now CPMG(O) is holding frequent meeting directly with the concerned IPs in this connection. And he is also terrorizing and forcing the IPs to achieve the target By hook or by crook failing which he will take action against all concerned. For this purpose in some sub divisions digital camera has been supplied and it has been instructed to organize SB Mela, where the IP concerned has to act as a camera man to take photograph of the depositors during such SB Mela. In this connection, the department has not yet issued any proper/specific guideline for orginising SB Mela, advertising materials, publicity through print/electronics media. All the responsibilities have been given to the sub divisional IP without any training/assistance/ resources etc. except the digital camera.

In view of the above, kindly give reply on the following items.

(1) Whether the sub divisional IP is having less burden on him/her.
(2) Is he having leisure time?
(3) Is the department's progress/failure or profit/loss is completely depending on IP cadre.
(4) Is there any other central govt. department/organisation or any other organisation, where an officer equivalent to IP, who is a disciplinary authority, appointing authority and having the duties like inspection, investigation, inquiries, mail management, procurement of business, RPLI, PLI and many more has been given such task.

Sir, the department is repeatedly failing to convince the Finance Ministry regarding the nature of works of IP cadre despite of its complete dependence on IP cadre in all respect. It is because of the inferiority complex of our higher officers in comparison to the officers in the other Ministries and department. They are fearful of the officers, who are holding higher statue as per the merit in UPSC ranking. For this reason our grade pay issue is being rejected repeatedly at higher level.
But, despite their failure the shameless department and the higher officers are still envious towards this cadre and are treating us like dog.

Actually, sir I have less knowledge of words to express my feeling and present my view. But, I am hopeful that you can understand what I want to say.

Therefore, it is requested kindly to take up an early action in this regard.

A line of reply is solicited.

With Regards,

Yours faithfully

A Poor Sub Division IP
